EoD seems to only really have value for people already in GW2 who need new things to do and play with. I'd advise anyone thinking about joining in to enjoy all the stuff you get with PoF and wait for End of Dragons to go on sale. Path of Fire is actually probably more valuable for new players, because it gives you the main mounts, lots of build options, a glider, and two expansions worth of map to play in. Mainly that new expansions don't obsolete old ones (they never increase max level, and everything that was good before an expansions is still just as good after the expansion), and old expansions will give you a ton to do, so there's no reason to join the game and feel like you need the new expansion any time soon. It's definitely advertising for the upcoming 3rd expansion, but there are some important things to know about GW2 and expansions. Heroic Boosters give you temporary bonus XP and some other similar play boosts. 
The box is additional storage for a single character's inventory (you can craft 18 slot boxes yourself eventually, but this is still nice for that first character). The first expansion is "Heart of Thorns" not "Path of Thorns", and yes, you just always get both the first and second expansions now when you buy Path of Fire. (I assume the Box is additional storage but I don't know what the Boosters are) It looks like that deal is over but if you claimed it at the time the redemption page says it can be redeemed until Jan 31, 2022. Lastly, Amazon Prime Gaming just gave away the "Heroic Edition" of the core game (the core game is free), which included: This all looks like advertising for the newest "End of Dragons" expansion that releases Feb. Also, from what I can tell from the Guild Wars 2 site this "Path of Fire" expansion comes with the earlier "Path of Thorns" expansion. The "Add to Cart" button says "select from the left to add to Shopping Cart" but there's nothing on the left to select (tried in Chrome, Firefox and Edge).ĭeal is good until December 31st though so assuming they fix the store front in any sort of timely fashion there should still be time to get it. It looks like the deal isn't US only ( this Guild Wars 2 site page lists links to non-US stores) but it does appear the US Amazon store page doesn't currently work.
